Ladylike Lace

Dress- Karen Kane
Lipstick- MAC- Girl About Town

Oh, I love me a girly dress! When I saw this one at work, and tried it on, I knew I had to make it mine...And I definitely don't regret it! It's super comfortable and stretchy and was great for a long day at work. As well, on Friday I went to MAC in pursuit of a lipstick, and I am now in LOVE. I bought this colour, as well as a matte taupe, and they have beautiful coverage, and they stay on like a dream! I also bought a new powder foundation, but the colour is slightly too orangey so I have to go exchange it on Monday. However, I am a happy convert!

Who says...

...that only business students can wear business casual on campus?

Dress- Anne Klein
Shoes- Miss Mooz
Glasses- Etnia Barcelona
Earrings- unsure
Lipstick- Estee Lauder- Autumn

I decided that in response to the beautiful spring weather, and my collection of new dresses begging to be worn, that this would be the week of dresses. This dress by Anne Klein was one of the items on my spring wish list, and I am ecstatic to say that it now calls my closet home. I feel really comfortable and confident in dresses and heels, and despite my bad hair day, this outfit and a swipe of red lipstick made me feel great!

The Second Wave

They're called midterms, right? Well, it's no longer mid-term, but I am getting into the second wave of midterms, with papers and assignments due starting Monday. Hooray!

This morning it was incredibly pretty out as I was walking to the bus stop, and I excitedly texted my friend because I was so thrilled that it wasn't cold and there were birds chirping and the sun was shining. Just about an hour later, as I was sitting in a windowless lecture hall, she replies and tells me there's snow. With all the crazy weather fluctuations, I automatically assume she means it's blizzarding out and I start to panic. As I walked outside, I learned that she was actually referencing all of the snow already on the ground outside. Although it was a relief to discover it wasn't snowing out, I have a looming paranoia the weather is going to get cold. So I'm going to avoid any weather forecasts and just think about bright spring colours!

Boots!

Happy International Women's Day, Shrove Tuesday, AND Mardis Gras! To be honest, I didn't know today was any of these until I was in English class and my prof pointed it out. Oops.

Cardigan- Gap
Tank-Gap
Jeans- Old Navy
Boots- Browns
Earrings- Garbo (I think, will confirm)
Ring- From my mom
Lipstick- Clinique-Vintage Wine
Nail Polish- China Glaze- Riveter Rouge

I was incredibly excited to wear these boots for the first time, and I LOVE them (and I have been planning more outfits with them all day!). But it was a reluctant love affair. My mom pointed them out to me originally, and I was skeptical, thinking they were way too edgy. But, they grew on me, and finally last week I stopped in and asked if they still had them. The manager checked in the back, and they had one pair left and it was a size smaller than I usually wear. However, I gave them a try, and they fit PERFECTLY!  I think part of my fondness stems from them being a departure from my usual style, and they make me feel a bit edgier, and less polished. Anyway, I look forward to a loving relationship with these beauties!
