Yeehaw!

image from dita.net

I've had an incredible day! I've been covering the Canadian Finals Rodeo for the Edmonton Journal's new community newsroom, and it's been amazing experience. I've learned lots, and being able to get up close and personal to everything has been so amazing! As well, I'm thrilled to say that things are going great for my internship too! More information about the relaunch of Parlour coming soon!
...And once in a while I remember that I'm a student...
As for the image above, I thought it captured my day fairly nicely (and Dita von Teese looks stunning, as always).
But off to go study, write an article, and do some research.

Until the 1920's...

Did you know that before 1910, women's drawers were made with an open crotch, and it wasn't until the late 1920s that closed-crotch drawers were the norm?

Pretty things

Just a pretty picture today. I'm trying to be super-productive and get some work done for my internship, as well as start doing research for my Int D 222 term project! So far, one thing has been completed. I've been having a great morning!

Introducing

image via Piccsy

It's Lingerie, Burlesque and Pin-up month here on Curvaceous Chic! I've always been very fond of beautiful lingerie and the glitz and glamour of burlesque and pin-up, and I've always been drawn to lingerie as a topic of academic research. I decided to dedicate a whole month to the subject, and I am excited to talk about the history of lingerie and shapewear, proper bra-fitting, burlesque, pin-up art, and anything related to lingerie. I strongly believe that properly fitting lingerie can do wonders for a woman's self esteem, and that it's not who sees it, but how it makes you feel that's important!
